American Headache Society Publishes Updated Guidance on Migraine Preventive Therapy.

Recommends therapies targeting calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) as a first-line option for migraine prevention

MOUNT ROYAL, N.J., March 11, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The American Headache Society (AHS) published a consensus position statement today in Headache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain about the first-line role CGRP-targeting therapies should play in the prevention of migraine. Specifically, the AHS calls for CGRP-targeting therapies to be considered as a first-line approach for migraine prevention, along with previous first-line treatments, without a requirement for prior failure of other classes of migraine preventive treatment.

I am contacting you to ask you to please help us share the new survey developed and launched by the EMHA together with the advisory with a great Scientific Committee led by Prof. Goadsby.

This survey is epidemiologic and it’s the first survey around only Stigma and Migraine never done. That’s why it is very important to get a big sample.

We translated the survey into 15 languages to get the most representative answers, so please help us share it among all the people you know. We will be doing the first extraction of results on the 10th June. So please share it as much as you can before that date, and of course it will continue to open afterwards but 10th June is our key date to get the majority of answers.
